Another college is making headlines for commencement speech protests. This time it’s Notre Dame, 100 students, and Vice President Mike Pence. On Sunday, the students of Notre Dame were at their graduation ceremony and when Mike Pence started his commencement speech, the students stood up and walked out.
The protest was organized by the campus group WeStaNDFor. The group cited Pence’s actions against gay rights as the reason for the protest among other things of course. The group told all the students that were against Mike Pence speaking at the graduation to walk out “quietly and deliberately.”
Check out a video from the graduation below.
What do you think about the recent protest? Should the students be penalized or is it their right? Let me know.
