American Idol Is Officially Coming Back and Katy Perry Is A Judge

After 15 years on FOX Network, American Idol ended in April 2016. Everyone thought that it was the end of the singing competition. Recently, it was announced that American Idol is coming back to television. This time it will be on ABC Network instead.

It was stated that it will be “bigger, bolder and better-than-ever Idol,”  by Ben Sherwood, co-chairman, Disney Media Networks.  The President, Disney ABC, said, “American Idol on ABC, that has a nice ring to it. American Idol is an entertainment icon, and now it will air where it belongs, in ABC’s lineup of addictive fan favorites alongside Dancing With The Stars and The Bachelor.”

Channing Dungey, President of ABC Entertainment, took a shot at Fox Network for ending the show. “American Idol is a pop-culture staple that left the air too soon,” she said. “ABC is the right home to reignite the fan base. We are thrilled viewers will once again share in these inspiring stories of people realizing their dreams.”
